Going back to the Stick Insect idea, here's a quick sketch I did of the final form of a stick insect. The first could look like a leaf, the second would be a stick or branch, and the final is based on a log. Leaves could be added to connect it to its previous stages. Also it doesn't have to be a Bug/Grass type, it could just be a Bug type that looks like a Grass type
