I burned myself out by fucking around so much before even fighting noble Kleavor. I played another 3 hours or so after and lost all motivation to play. I already have my fuckhuge Heracross and Scizor. I don't really care about collecting a bunch of other pokemon I don't like and the battling in this game seems like an underbaked afterthought compared to all the catching stuff. Hell, shit like turn orders seems random to me when a level 50 Scyther sometimes gets outsped by a level 12 Stantler, which gets two turns of "looking around" and then fleeing before I can act. And I've heard some friends complain about later fights where other trainers will hard switch and get to go first.
Someone spoil me: Is there a robust endgame where you can battle strong trainers? Without any ability to battle online or with friends, I'm pretty meh about continuing on.
