I guess it's because fans like SatoSere">"It could be, but are you sure about that?"This is when Matsui poisoned Omode's mind and convinced her that people liked the "funny" side of SatoSere, stuff like Serena suffering and spaghetti (this is somewhat true though)
Then, Matsui contacted the staff, which was no big deal considering she was a regular writer back then, and with Omode's support Matsui told them about this "funny" shit idea and asked if she could write one episode to prove it (XYZ 22)...
Of course Matsui isn't dumb, so she wrote the perfect episode for gathering attention: Serena literally getting in Ash's clothes
Now, I know we all loved this episode, but really it was mainly because of Serena and definitely not because of Sakaki-sama dreams or Team Rocket imitating famous singers and wasting like 2 minutes
Also we have to admit that the episode was a bit forced, I mean if you're sick you don't throw usually yourself at girls. No flu is capable of that
Anyway the episode airs, #anipoke trends hard and the staff falls for Matsui's ebin bait of funny shit
After this all that's left is beginning the works for the new Pokemon comedy: Sun and Moon, with Matsui as head writer...
