Just completed my second Kanto team. The previous run was finished a few days ago. I just didn't see a team thread at the time.
The 1st gym was rough and I had to resort to "cheating" by using my starter because Geodude doesn't learn Rock Throw until 11, which is just above the level cap. Smith, lower it to 10. It wouldn't be broken against a Mud Slap spamming Falkner.
Nobody in this team was as fun as Aerodactyl but the team was overall more fun to use. While Alakazam was nerfed by the lack of Fire/Ice Punch, it's still a powerhouse and Gyarados having Fly is awesome. Jolteon is a monster with Spark and Thunderbolt as level up moves. Poor Victreebel had some bad luck with missing Razor Leaf twice in a row on multiple occasions.
