When I was 10 and playing through Platinum first time, I was so excited to catch Giratina that I forgot to prepare properly. On August 11th 2014, I lost to Cyrus in the Distortion World multiple times and when I was climbing up Mt. Coronet the fifth or so time after retrieving my Rhyperior from my Pokemon Diamond, I fell asleep next to the boulder on the second floor of Mt. Coronet.
August 12, 2014, I beat Cyrus with an overleveled Rhyperior's Horn Drill, and then when I got to Giratina, I realized I only had 2 Ultra Balls, 3 Great Balls, and a single Master Ball. I went through the five other Pokeballs without catching it so I had to resort to using my Master Ball.
