Lusamine being the primary antagonist of SM is what saved the plot from being another shitty repeat of BW/B2W2. Unlike N and Ghetsis she had once showed love for her children, but her heart was broken after their father presumably died and she went insane trying to cope with his unusual death. Lusamine and her children were all actually interesting characters with their own motives for dealing with their broken up family.
USUM spits on all of that.
Mark my words, once the model for this fucker comes out you'll see it being fetishized just like every other awful dragon pokemon because that's what the story has been reduced to. A shitty dragon stealing the light from different worlds because durr hurr aliens stole the Z-crystals.
