They add nothing to experiance of the game, and it really pisses me off how little effort they put into pokemon's story. To the point where I couldn't give a rat's hairy ass about any character, or their plight. They're all 1 or 2 note characters. Sorry I'm really interested in whether or not my neighbors likes a fucking pastry. Sorry I'm not obsessed with the pokedex or teaching all my pokemon dance moves. Sorry every fucking 5 minutes of the I'm trying to play and a cutscene is mashed right into my face. Fuck you, I don't expect great stories out of pokemon games, but I don't expect anything nearly as grating slow as this. Yeah, real big shame I expect some quality out of a game not some patronizing "characters" holding my hand.
