There's a difference between a feminist and someone who's filled with hatred and irrationality under the guise of feminism. The essence of feminism is girls being there for each other while trying to make a difference for other girls who need it. It's not about "ugh, he's eye raping me, I'm so oppressed!" it's about recognizing victim blaming and calling out things that perpetuate sexism. No one's trying to bring men down. We just love ourselves and each other and want safety and fairness for everyone. If a girl hits a guy in anything but self-defense, it's just as bad as a guy hitting a girl in anything but self-defense. Rape happens to both genders, and often the rapist gets away with it. The difference is that when a guy is raped, people don't ask "well, what was he wearing? was he leading the assailant on?" White male politicians police our bodies while our bodies are so oversexualized that in most places a woman can't breastfeed her baby because it's indecent. And that's what we're out to destroy. Don't understand how that's been so misconstrued on such a big basis. We don't want to be victims, we don't want to demonize men, we just want equality.
