The original premise of the series they released was that it was Ash meeting the people and pokemon he established a bond with, a random Latias Ash has never seen before on episode one would be completely illogical, there's no way they could make it work alongside meeting Brock and Misty and talking to Gary again. It's M05 Latias. Whether that means altoshipping stuff is a different question, this is 100% the Latias from the movie
