I get the thematic approach they were going for this line, but I still miss the green head leaf and red eyes for the line that made a striking contrast for what would have been an otherwise bland dino.
The line is fairly simple in terms of aesthetics, not to dissimilar in that approach from the other starters it shares Johto with and those in the region, but I appreciate the dino nonetheless.
Still, if given the chance to redesign Meganium, I think I would put something on that bald head of theirs. Maybe a "mane" of leaves, something not unlike this for instance.

I have a couple ideas knocking in my head for a while now, but I don't have the skills to bring them to fruition. Coming up with something that preserves the aesthetics and design philosophy of the line while not being too outlandish or compromising the build while keeping it interesting is not as easy as it first would appear.
At the very least, fusions and other fan redesigns can fill the void at least.
