>>35159660Weird take time. I'm a pretty awful 3/10-4/10 player who's only real accomplishment is winning a ~30 man league challenge two years ago, so take it all with a grain of salt:
I know a lot of people look at this and are disgusted by how much Zoroark there is. However, as someone who started observing the game around the Mewtwo wars era and started playing in a time that wasn't entirely too much better with the release of XY... I feel like there's a broader range of decks play than almost ever before?
I think the fact there are six stage two decks out there doing alright is super cool. This feels like a massive step up from previous metas where it felt like there were three or four decks out there with a HUGE gap between rouge stuff and meta stuff. Now the more less powerful off meta stuff like Magnezone, Garb DMNecro, RaichuPachi, Rampardos, Garchomp, Empoleon, Silvally, Spread etc feels way closer in power then most of the iffy rogue stuff from when I started (Tool drop, Weavile eggs without all the neat stuff it gets in legacy on PTGO). Obviously tourney results say what's winning and that they're not quite there, but shit, it feels like the modern day tcg has a lot of options around. I really like it.
