Commission because I can't draw for shit. This is one of the final key moments that will happen in the longfic I've been writing. When the artist sent me the initial sketch it took the scene from just an idea to a full blown narrator dialogue of what's going through Dawn's head in that moment that got into my head and wouldn't leave until I fleshed it out. I'll be happy when I finally get to share that monologue with the readers.

After 8 months of crap in my life and dealing with trying to rewrite a difficult chapter from effectively scratch, I have finally posted chapter 5 of my Pearlshipping Longfic project. Hopefully future updates don't take nearly as long. I really wanted to be further along in writing this than I am but here we are, all the same.

The final chapter in the opening sequence that is set 4 years before the rest of the story. Everything is set and Dawn merely needs to make her move to show Ash how she feels. Of course, however, she isn't the only one with that idea on that eventful day in LaRousse.
