There are a lot of distractions in the world of today, you probably just need to set yourself apart for an hour or two on a day you know nothing's going on. Treat it like exercise, fall into a routine of short bursts if you have to. Plan ahead so that you're thinking of prose while you're on the hot seat and not where the plot should be moving.
