Hello /cpg/ happy 100th thread.
I'm someone who only recently got started into doing competitive Pokemon outside of my friends. I'm curious if you could help me out some. I started playing tonight and made it to 1300, I know that isn't a fantastically high tier or anything, but, I'm happy about it because I have no previous experience at all at this. If you don't mind could you please talk to me about the team I'm using, poke holes in it, tell me what I'm doing wrong. I made this team out of a selection of Pokemon I like personally and some reading up on the various Pokemon and Meta itself at the moment.

For example I left my Landorus-T out on a Landorus-I and didn't even realize it was faster till the turn after. I'm keeping mental notes of moments like that when they happen. Something else I'm having trouble with is prediction. I think I'm just over predicting a lot of the time, and leads me to make stupid mistakes. Is it just better to make the straight play or just go with my gut? Also, about my choice of my Mega, I haven't gotten any mileage out of him once in my 12 something matches tonight. He usually ends up burned or killed extremely quickly. Should I shift to a bulkier Gyarados build or should I just start trying to leave him for much later game since he's my switch in for water types.
