>>36758611Misdreavus is one of the oldest sprites in this list and might merit another look, but it's mostly just meant to be fading away at the edges. the less solid a ghost type that is definitely ghostly is, the better. Mittu's sprite and shading are based on the prototype Ditto sprite from jp-blue in pic related. I had originally done the sprite for Ditto itself before the spaceworld thing dropped, and I feel the hard shading gives them almost a metallic look, like mercury. perfect for a steel-type evolution. Politoed is meant to be an inky black frog the same way the rest of its evolutionary relatives are.
Butterfree is a Bug/Psychic regional if not to make up for the fact that i'm only using alolan versions of Sandshrew, Sandslash, Mowsy, Meowth, Persian, Geodude, Graveler, and Golem. This is mostly because there aren't any others that interest me, and there's not likely to be any other regionals than these unless game freak reveals something actually good or something comes across my desk that leaves me particularly inspired.
