Originally planned to use Hoenn-only Pokemon but as I played I remembered that back when I played the original R/S/E, I didn't differentiate Pokemon by generation, everything was just "Pokemon".
It wasn't until a few years passed and with the release of Gen IV that I thought of everything as separate. So I decided to play like I used to and have fun with it.
