I think Mega Slowbro is shitty because they just took the same Pokemon and put the shell somewhere else, which they already did with Slowking. It looks stupid riding around in that shell, the whole concept just seems lazy. Then again a lot of the megas made me say really? when I first saw them.
If Nintendo wanted to be slightly less hackish they could've made another alt form for Slowpoke with different typing or something, like Water/Ghost or Dark evil Slowpoke. It wouldn't have made sense, but they're already fucking with the types with this fairy stuff so they might as well roll with it.
