>>44830009>>44829980>>44830121There's a major difference here, though. With RSE, the technology just wasn't there to transfer compatible mons. For it to work, likely the easiest option would be for the GBA to connect to the GBC(Which, if I recall, would require a unique cable) and have RSE spoof being a GB game(Which I'm unsure if that'd even be possible). A GBA can connect to a GB/C if you modify your cable, but that's for GBC mode to GBC, obviously. GBA mode to GBC mode is a whole different issue. Perhaps they could have done something like Animal Crossing did with the GBA link cable? I don't think anyone here could come up with a satisfactory answer or method
Meanwhile, with SwSh, you need to have Bank AND Home because they felt the need to change it for some reason(Hint: Probably to make more money) and then you can't even put them on SwSh unless they're, you know, in that game by the merciful grace of Gamefreak. Nor can you transfer them back, so your only option if you have more than 30 Pokemon is to keep paying so that they don't get deleted because server costs are huge you guys(Ignoring that each Pokemon is only a few kilobytes in data. Even Home's 6k Poke would probably only be 15MB at most, and that's assuming SwSh's PKMN file sizes have increased, which I don't believe they have).
One of these is likely a limitation of hardware and lack of foresight, the other is blatant greed. Have you guys forgotten that we used to pay $40 for these games? You're literally paying more for a worse product designed to milk you, at least back in the day we (usually) paid the same amount for a better product out of it for cheaper(And hell, even if you argue the "b-b-but muh rerelease", that's still cheaper than SwSh+DLC).
