Speaking of animation, it's a shame that the early to mid parts of DP still retained the outdated, decade-long 4:3 aspect ratio up until 2009 when it and the Pokemon anime overall finally switched to to a 16:9 full HD resolution. I know that during the 2006-07 period, said HD/ widescreen resolution wasn't possible yet for the TV animated episodes (it was reserved for movies), but at the very least they could have implemented it by late 2008 at the earliest.
It's a shame really, because it would have been amazing to see the entire DP saga in full HD, instead of the antiquated 4:3 aspect ratio that already had been decades-long.
