It's really neat to plan out how a battle could unfold in your head, even when you know of the end result. It's all about spicing up getting to there. Speaking of which, one of the main character's partners is an Eevee that knows Swift, and Swift is an absolute pain to write for because it eliminates dodging due to the lore of "always hitting", so it cuts out a bit of flexibility in how the opponent responds to it. It's either "intercept attack" or Swift lands.
