You're practically saying GameFreak is setting up a "ultimate style" universe, which these remakes will tie into correct? Given the Space/Time multiverse theme of D/P, it's seen as an opportunity to implement as an overarching plot thread.
You say an AU of the first 5 gens and not Johto primarily. Do you know the future plans for Unova since you include it?
It's difficult for me to believe Game Freak would ever do this. Maybe the very old late 90s Game Freak, but the modern one? This is both fan feedback on actual Pokemon designs & major risk taking.
