In gen 3, most defensive pokemon just took a hit well, but didn't have any sustained healing, relying on leftovers chip to get back. So you can still make progress by slowly chipping them down. Blissy was really the only exception.
Now, stallers just fuckin heal for free, and are downright unkillable unless a mon is built to break them.
If you like just hyper offensive, stick with Gen 4 and Gen 5. Every mon is so expendable in those generations.
