Golem was the result of a design that had to stand out from its previous forms. They couldn't just make a slightly larger rock with even more limbs. The end result is out there and for good reason. Same with Dragonite. It couldn't be a slightly larger Dragonair with some mild design tweaks. Simplicity can be a bad thing and those two saved the lines from being bland.

My vote goes to Samurott, who was the literal result of artist's block. Oomura fucked up with it. Whether Golem or Dragonite were the result of artist's block too is a mystery, but it wouldn't be a surprise.

Hawlucha is an example of fanartists not realizing that it has a mouth and the beak is just there for aesthetics. Even worse is when the fake evos depict it with an actual beak, as to try to 'fix' it.

This looks awkward as hell. Anatomy-wise, it isn't doing anything for me. It's says a lot when fanart has to fix the designer's problem to justify its existence.
