I also do not like the artstyle of it, especially Ash's design. I must admit tho that it has several high moments, like Brock/Misty comeback or Kukui battle.
PM2019? So far it is visibly better than SM, especially after first ten or so episodes. The artstyle looks like it should look like back in SM (same deal as BW/XY upgrade which is a good sign). Ash sometimes acts like his SM self and his XY self mixed together which is okay I guess. Battle quality and quantity also increased compared to SM, which is a plus for me. To sum it up, despite slightly weak start I have high hopes for this series.
This is all my personal opinion tho, so you might not agree with that but this is just how a guy who is browsing /padt/ for more than six years now has to say.
