When I was a kid during Gen 1 and 2, we'd compare Pokemon to Yu-Gi-Oh monsters and agree that they had very distinct styles, the later being too sharp and overdesigned
And nowdays you have Necrozma, that literally resembles the Red Eyes Black Dragon (and becomes even more overdesigned than him upon changing form)
Only a fool wouldnt admit that Pokemon designs lost their original style....
