The feeling of an empty region isn't something I felt since Ruby/Sapphire.
Granted, this was before I had internet access, so I had to clue how they intended for me to get Most of the Kanto and Johto Pokemon, or any upcoming games.
Cue Pokemon Coliseum, where I caught Pokemon not found in Sapphire, transferred them, and... had no Dex number.
Long story short, The next game will most likely be another sequel (yet same Gen), but in another region near or next to Kalos.
