>>17701714But we will find the treasure, not to return til we've done so. Too often the media's gleefully reported my death, and each time I've returned with my pokemon triumphant, trophy and fame to prove I am a man with a strong heart, body, and mind. Fans and enemies have both sprouted with my fame; a close encounter with a rival in the mountains of Sinnoh on my last voyage almost spelled my doom when I fell from a cliff, and his team had been hand picked to counter mine should I give him trouble. The look on Jameson's face when I stormed his office at the newspaper was worth almost as much as the legendary Griseous Orb I held in my hands, and caused much embarassment as they had printed my obituary. In my wallet I still have the clipping, folded neatly and with a picture of myself in my twenties, fresh faced and so long ago.
Oddly enough, when I chose my team for this journey, I had chosen these three for their survivability and hardiness, their experience. But I was pleasantly surprised yesterday when in a fit of delusion I attempted to surf a mirage atop of Tyr ( note: berries have differing effects upon humans than pokemon ), and discovered he could pull a small resevoir of water to the surface from below. On the downside, his constant sandstorms have been unnerving, and my skin is so worn from the sand I must look a completely different man than when I set out at night. His intimidating presence however, manages to assist Garchomp with keeping some of the smaller predators away. The eldest of the trio, Tyr has been with me on some incredible ventures, and one of the few pokemon seen by Archer as powerful rival. Their spars have been some of the most terrifying and exciting I've witnessed among pokemon; powerful blows that have rocked stadiums and forests alike, simply outrageous.
