>>33191080They didn't grow up with it, when Digimon was big it competed with Pokemon and there was a rivalry for the niche, later generations Pokemon was the clear marketing victor and Digimon faded out until recently with CS/N0.
The rivalry never really broke but nearly every Pokemon fan I have shown Digimon has gotten into it after some convincing. It literally comes down to breaking a biased mentality.
