>>19035988if theres an overpowered move or an overpowered pokemon, then everyone should use that pokemon/move if they want to win instead of banning pokemon that they feel are too strong.
whats the point of banning a poke/move thats too good? so that people can use their favorite pokemon?
if so, then what if my favorite pokemon is in ubers?
is smogon trying to fix whats wrong with pokemon?
If so, then what makes them think their idea of pokemon battling is better than the original creators?
are they trying to make battling less luck based?
if so, then why? the game wasnt intended to be *fixed* like that, and there are already moves made to incerase chances of success, does that not make luck a constant stat?
are they trying to make the game more realistic? immersive?
if so then how does smogon achieve that in any way? after all, removing luck based moves seems to do the opposite.
it just seems that smogon is trying to turn pokemon into chess/rock paper scissors by making all pokemon the same.
When i was a kid i caught the strongest pokemon i could, in hopes of being un-beatable, but smogon says "non", "you cant use those pokemon because you will win" even though they could just as easily use the same pokemon as i and it would be completely equal, but alas, instead of them dropping their scizors, and talonflames to step their game up, they insist that I lower my skill level so that they can use their favorite pokemon.
its pointless. smogow will always be pointless.
