This is my second attempt at this run, first one was hopelessly smashed by Whitneys monsters.
Unlike the first run, I got some pretty sweet encounter luck this time around. Especially in regards to natures/abilities. Lonely Gyarados, Adamant Aron and Naughty Flareon feels great to use.
As far as gym battles have gone

Pretty easy with Geodude/Magnemite, despite all of the tricks up his sleeve like white herb solarbeam swablu. Pidgeotto nearly ran away with it near the end because geodude and magnemite were very low after all the switching into attacks. Krabby came through clutch to hit a 90 base accuracy crabhammer through 2 sand attacks for the kill though.

Was clapping this little shit until a bad decision led scyther to get +3 attack (I switched gyarados into the scythers first SD, and thought hed go straight for an attack the second turn so pivoted into magnemite).
Suffice to say that was the end of magnemite after 1 powerful u-turn. As far as what happened to Croconaw, I was outspeeding the Pinsir and doing about the same amount of damage as its Vital Throws with my Ice Fang.... right up until it crit me.
Damn. Welp, onto Goldenrod.
