I’ve used teams of mediocre Pokémon and still managed to avoid ever grinding. The only reason people think the game has loads of grinding is because the fan base is utterly INFESTED, with players who lose once and think “damn, stats too low, need to grind” instead of “Damn, that didn’t work, need to assess what went wrong and what I can do differently to change the outcome.”
