>>47437917>>47437917Creator here. I'm not saying my idea is better than lockstins. But I think I did a decent job at communicating and connecting the fire typing well enough. And I would like to think I did a lot more than just "It's a snake with a bandana because its a cowboy with a fire lasso" The fire lasso is only part of its origin. Its entire basis is old western cowboy iconography mixed with a combination of different types of snake behaviors/characteristics .Because I think specific snake behaviors and cowboy iconography really synergize well. Its mouth is a pistol that it uses to shoot embers and fire balls like bullets like spitting snakes. Its bull whip/lasso tail is a fire lasso. Fire lassos are popular in rodeos and its inspired by whipboxing. A sport that uses whips to whips the opponents face also practiced in rodeos. Combatants also wear a face covering. Which I think synergizes well with the bandana. The bandana is also shed skin.
Its primarily based on horned vipers, which are found in deserts. Its final evo uses stylized horns to resemble a cowboys hat. I think a cowboy archetype would make a unique fighting type, because cowboys do fight and are technically guards in a historic sense. But they do form gangs and fight amongst one another. Also duels and such. But if you don't think that's a good reason enough, I fall back to whipboxing. Which is a form of fighting/sport.
There's also a legendary cowboy named Pecos Bill that used a rattlesnake as a lasso.
