Either each pokemon has to be built of 50 block each like these abominations, or they would have to produce a lot of new "special" blocks that couldn't be used for anything else. Or even worse, each pokemon would just be a unique block. All options are terrible.
And who are these models aimed at? Children? 30 bricks to make 1 leaf. Waouw! Looks more like collector's items for adults.
LEGO is about building stuff. Harry potter has Hogwarts, Star Wars has the space ships. What does pokemon have? The pokecenter? Nice square building.
LEGO just can't do anything clever with the franchise. It's just a bad fit for what LEGO does.
