Last slot kind of rotated around between Shiftry, Archeops, and a Pinsir.
After four years, when the story of what we were doing ended and I finally had a chance to challenge the elite four, I beat the first two members, then my match with the third ended in a draw. I was satisfied with that because I find it a lot more engaging to be a very powerful trainer than the most important chlld prodigy in the world like in all the games and stuff. Another character in the group actually did end up becoming champion, I have a picture of him I'll post next.
