Official art isn't bad, but again, generic. Its not posing or anything, its just kinda 'there' if that makes sense. Visually uninteresting.
In-game the drum and sticks just looks stupid. Grookey worked because its like a little kid with its favorite toy. Thwacky works because the sticks tie up its crazy mohawk hair. With Rillaboom, the drum and sticks just appear.
Pic rel isn't perfect, but it looks more visually interesting. The chest being the drum was a very missed opportunity. Just made a lot of sense.
