>>58415956The concept of g-max is cool and I like alot of the designs but it has handled poorly. They were way too big and balance-wise it was a trainwreck. Megas were more balanced and have more designs I like by virtue of just having more designs in general.
I think a cool thing gamefreak could do is unify them into a single power up mechanic. Think pokken tournament's burst where the pokemon becomes mega if it has one or just gets a power up if it doesn't. The megas are more of a cosmetic change. Just put that in the game and add gigantimax forms in the same way, scaled down to a more reasonable size so the camera doesn't shit itself. Nerf the power of both to a more reasonable level and maybe tie it to a desperation mechanic so you can't just shit out a mega and sweep and it works more as a kino comeback mechanic.
