The type of people who are attracted to becoming a 'YouTuber' as a career, typically value short-term benefits (i.e. more clicks = more revenue) over long-term growth of a consumer base through producing higher quality output. PokeTubers worse than most. Therefore it's in their best interests to have extreme or highly divisive opinions on everything. It gets more clicks.
'Critics' stopped offering critique or actually criticising long ago. Unless you can find yourself an honest one who's tastes line up with your own.
Have you considered offline recommendations? Talk to a friend or colleague who has no stake in whether you buy or not.
For my tuppenceworth, it's not a €60 game. But very few games are. It has a lot of the flaws that every other Pokemon game is guilty of - handholdy, pisseasy, story for 6yos. Still, it's enjoyable and if you have disposable income, like Pokemon, and want to kill a few weeknights then wynaut.
