>>54371381>Isn't modern Pokemon TCG a scam? That depends on which of the three sides of the TCG scene you’re on, players are happy that it no longer costs more than $100 USD to build a tournament-viable deck and collectors are happy to see that chase cards are becoming more accessible. The only “people” that are on the losing side are investors since they no longer have $600+ hits like Alt Art Umbreon VMAX in SVI-era sets.
>Folks are buying 36-pack booster boxes and only getting one or two valuable holorares while the rest are just chaff. Those people either have weird definitions of “value” or they being dumb and buying resealed boxes off of Amazon, I pulled an amazing amount of Ultra-Rares and higher-rarity cards from a booster case of Scarlet & Violet.
> I even whinge and despair when I see Jewtube videos of streamers buying 8 36-pack boxes and they only have like 8-10 valuable pulls at best. The way they treat energy, common and uncommon cards is something old boomers like me never did back in the day.>YoutubeThere’s your damn problem, A majority of Pokémon Youtubers only care about monetary value when it comes to pulls.
