and in regards to it's strength, sure it sucks in competitive, but it's always been perfectly usable in single-player even in it's debut gen, where game freak most definitely had little-to-no grasp on the competitive scene, and when gen 3 came around they gave the damn thing serene grace
i've never seen anyone saying mons with lower BSTs and worse abilities than dunsparce were made by game freak as "jokes"
