It's basically just a more power creeped version of the ex era - desu Tera still using the normal typing's energy for moves means they're not quite 100% Delta Species, but they're close enough, and even more wise Delta Species came about through crystal fuckery too.

>ex cards are proper half arts again, as haven't had these since the XY era, functionally ex cards also evolve from regular Pokémon cards like the original exI haven't enjoyed the TCG this much since Gen 5 so admittedly there's a degree of nostalgia factoring in, but they've learnt some lessons from the SM and SwSh TCG eras clearly
