I wanted a charmander but I didn't really understand what was going on since I was used to action games and skipped a lot of the dialogue, ended up picking the first pokemon I walked up to.
Was pretty bummed out about it until it evolved,. Ivysaur was the first pokemon I ever saw, on pic related. I somehow didn't know Bulbasaur would become this, I wasn't familiar with pokemon evolution yet, so I was very happy to see that little bad ass that made me curious about the series in the first place.
Sadly, it evolved again and I was very disappointed with how much uglier it was. Especially once I used it in Pokemon Stadium and it got those bloodshot eyes.
