>>55361097I like it being a mix of established cries and animal noises but I'm certainly not opposed to them just saying their names/shorter versions of it since it's what I'm used to from the anime. I keep them at 4 moveslots when writing fights but trainers have free reign to swap them out between battles just like in the games, although i treat pokemon as being able to attack outside of established moves (as in, a pokemon doesn't need to to bite to well. bite) if i ever wrote something sort of region spanning fic i'd undo the regional parts of gimmicks since its more fun to see things like galarian trainers using dynamax outside their home region because its *their* gimmick.
