As far as I know, it doesn't matter when you EV train. What I do is throw a power item on whatever I'm training, and have a Tropius with Sweet Scent, Fly, EQ and Razor Leaf in front of my party for Horde grinding. If you have good luck (right horde encounters, no rain) You can max out the desired EVs in ~20 minutes.

Okay, question from someone who never bothered to EV train in the past, but wants to learn. This guide was very illuminating as to how fast horde training can be, which was a big part of me deciding that I'm actually going to bother with it, but it also seems a bit dated as it states that males can't pass down HA during breeding, which we know isn't true, and it's also not exactly clear on certain points. On to the questions:

1. If my lead pokemon had and is cured of pokerus, it should still double the IV take for the whole team correct? Or do I need to infect every mon with pokerus for the doubling to occur?

2. Do I only need to equip a power item to the lead pokemon to get the +4 EVs, or do I need to equip one on each member of my team?

If it's literally as simple as having a lead with pokerus/cured of pokerus equipped with a power item to get 50 EVs in one turn from a horde then that is insanely easy.

I'm breeding timid noibats with an infiltrator parent and got a frisk one with 31/0/31/31/31/31, normally 0 atk is good on a timid SpAtker but most noivern sets I see make use of U-turn, is this spread viable? It has switcheroo as an egg move.

It really is just luck.

What you want to do is give the Destiny Knot to one of the parents, and an Everstone to the other (whichever one has the correct nature). Keep evaluating the offspring until you find something better than the Ditto and the opposite gender of the other Pokemon. Repeat.

Breeding rotom is suffering, if you can get a better ditto, 3 or more max IVs, it will speed this up considerably.
Give the everstone to the pokemon with the nature you want to pass, and the destiny knot to the other, using the parents you have CAN lead to a 5IV baby, but the odds are extremely low with a 4 and 2 IV parents.
Also, you don't need attack on a rotom, so there is no benefit in a 6IV baby over a 5IV with atk missing
