In comparison, the anime allows Kahili to be relaxed and not constantly putting up a game face. Why does she have to constantly be frowning or looking serious if there's no reason to do so?
There's also nothing in Kahili's characterization or dialog to denote that she's 'grumpy'. The only thing you're doing is mistaking someone's 'game face' as 'grumpiness'.
