>>56695996In the HaveSomeFun folder there's a Ruby & Sapphire folder full of very early concept documents. In one file (which I forgot the name of) there are ideas for various characters, including Maxie (at this point in development called "Urushida" and head of the department of pharmaceutical research at Devon; Devon was going to be focused on pharmaceutics) and Archie (who was going to have Captain Stern's name and vice versa).
Someone here claimed that proto-Archie was also going to steal the Mossdeep rocket to use it as a sort of Noah's ark and send pokémon to a faraway island so they could escape proto-Maxie's plan. I couldn't find the source for that, though. Might have to dig deeper.
