While the latter can have a hard time rolling off the tongue even after several restates and is quite bold as a portmanteau, the former is smooth, yet concise. Unfortunately, "Sal" significantly lacks in endearment and recognition where "Tox" does not. It's a bit of a conundrum, but at least it's better than Riffex, which, while pleasantly creative, reads more like a word that you'd see while browsing your local drugstore.
