if the ridiculous puzzles or shit segments were for busted pokemon or items, that's one thing, but you need to do that to literally just progress and you have to redo it everytime you replay the game, actual fucking insanity
i remember i did that without a guide and the first time took 2 hours, even when i did it 'normally' the attempt itself took a while because you can't rush and need to do it very carefully

i'll give credit at least that not every single boss is using a mega, like how MM didn't throw that many mega wielders at you before you got a ring yourself, unlike in urmumium where just every fucking boss had a mega beginning with the fire gym
