Also (and I'm the only one who says this so I could be wrong,) I feel like G. Ponyta's fluffy mane intentionally resembles cotton candy. The alternate name for it is fairy floss which is why Swirlix is a Fairy Type. Ponyta's mane is pink and soft blue which are the 2 iconic cotton candy colors. A unicorn's horn is kinda like the stick you hold cotton candy with, and I dunno I just feel like unicorns and cotton candy go together.
