>>44842193Its just harmless fantasies. Of course like anything, some take it further than others/too far, but here's a big reason I think most will fall under, whether they've been lonely their whole lives or have had relationships come and go: Simplicity. If we were to talk in as a normal sense as possible, assuming that pokemon did exist and a relationship were to happen, it doesn't come with same pressures and hardships that it would with another woman, especially in this current age. A guy doesn't have to worry about living up to this perfect image or having lots requirements just to even be on a woman's radar, such as lots of money, fancy cars/restaurants/dates, has to look a certain way, has to like this thing, has to do this, that and so on. If a pokemon were to love you, then you already know what you're getting and its real. There's no pretenses and worrying about what comes next once that step is taken, you've already bonded and know each other. That pokemon would stick by your side through anything. There's no fear of everything being over or going downhill as soon as something goes wrong or there's hardships. Men are not that complex when it comes to matters like these. If seeking companionship, pokemon are capable of communication or understanding, expressing themselves/emotions, and are intelligent, with their own wants, needs and quirks, just as a person would be. Them being different species wouldn't matter, and in fact could be considered more appealing because they don't come with the same shackles as mentioned earlier. It may be an exotic creature, but its still a female that loves and chooses to be with you with no bullshit in between. That's how I think it is for most anyway.
