I got reason to belive that Game Freak had plans for Gen 4 remakes on 3DS. But the limitation of the 3DS and the huge backslash USUM created made them reconsider and they announced that USUM would be the last games on 3DS and the next core game would be a Switch game. Why?
My reason to belive this lies inside the real life Hawai'ian creation myth which states:

As you of course realised by now this would have beautiful fit into the theme of gen 7 and alola. He will get a second form in the remakes. But this of course never happened, now we need to wait and see what happens in the gen 4 remakes later on in ther additional story, that is of course IF they ever happen. God I hope Let's Go is not taking over.
The ? and ! unown got added later on because they represent different counts of alphabets all over the world. Most of them are 26, 27 or 28 letters in one alphabet.
If you add non you got the usual 26. If you add both you got 28 and if you add just one you got 27 but this only works because ? and ! got half opened eyes which counts as a half if you want to.
